Son Mut Nou

Son Mut Nou is a farm in Llucmajor dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of fig trees. This unique project, led by Monserrat Pons, is home to more than 2,800 fig trees from 1,300 varieties, including species at risk of genetic erosion. In addition to being an experimental field, Son Mut Nou promotes scientific research on fig trees, agricultural heritage, and popular culture. This place reflects a deep respect for the land and nature, becoming a global benchmark in the conservation of this historic tree.
