Tuent Adventure is providing us with a morning to exercise our arms on sandbanks.

Today we escape to the mountains. Today we take refuge in the freshness provided by the orography of the Serra de Tramuntana. We want the world to forget about us for a few hours and be one with the landscape. We feel the embrace of the vegetation as we drive along roads that are worthy of an advertising spot. The road winds like a snake between rocks and cliffs, a mountain goat observing from the edge of the asphalt. Ruminating some grass, it looks at us and continues to do its own thing. We begin a very curvy descent that ends at the sea, in one of the few beaches that the mountains of Mallorca can enjoy. We are in Cala Tuent, a place that takes our breath away and paralyzes our beings with pure joy. When we cast our eyes to the side, the Tuent Adventure facilities remind us of what we are here for: to glide along the surface of the Mediterranean and to touch its bottom. This project guarantees experiences that make your skin crawl in a privileged enclave; the practice of water sports makes more sense than ever in this little corner of the island.
Berti, one of the partners of Tuent Adventure, speaks to us in a passionate tone. Knowing that the strong point of his project is his diving center, he tells us about the possibility to get to know the marine depths of Escorca thanks to his dives and courses. These activities can be done from the coast, aboard a boat and even at night. We are eager to put on our wetsuits and fins, but we prefer to postpone the discovery of caves for a not too distant future. For the moment we tell Berti that we prefer to enjoy the sea while the sun beats on our shoulders, we want to study it and hear the cicadas chirping at the top of the pines that green the coast. That's why he offers us the option of kayaking and paddle surfing and we opt for the first one, since we already tasted the second one at Water Sports Mallorca in a day full of balancing acts.
When we go down the jetty ramp, the kayaks are waiting for us with snorkeling gear on their seats. Miquel helps us drag them down the slope, one of the staff members who has recently joined the team. The ramp has a patina of moss on which we have to pay close attention, a first risk that we avoid walking not without precautions and having a few laughs. When we get to the sea, we give a couple of strokes and marvel at the hundred meters of coastline of Cala Tuent. Its shore is not formed by sand, but by pebbles that give the coastline a gray tone that matches the emerald glow of its waters. This place is a jewel that is collected in the mountains, kissed by an olive grove. It is half past ten in the morning and the beach is almost empty. We immediately noticed that not far from the coast, the seabed has a slope of several meters. A depth that is enjoyed from the crystal clear views of the surface. Strips of posidonia can be seen from our kayak, and small sardines swirl around us to rub our oars.
We set course towards Es Turó because it is one of the routes that Miquel has advised us to take, a crag that we try to reach along the coast. As the coast gets smaller, our kayaks enter a sea that is slightly rippled by the wake of some boats. Our trip could not be more pleasant, the sun is just a little too hot and the silence is enlivened by the murmur of the water. Tuent Adventure is giving us a morning to exercise our arms on sandbanks. Some rock emerges to the surface and we have to dodge it. It takes about twenty minutes to go around the corner. That is, to marvel at what is hidden at the foot of Es Turó: a set of caves and nooks and crannies where a gentle swell goes to stop. We stop paddling. We look up for a few seconds and before us imposing cliffs stand. They dominate us from the heights. We realize that Cala Tuent is the ideal place for this type of activity. As Tuent Adventure has let us rent their snorkeling equipment, we jump from the kayak to discover the seascape that unfolds below us.
The spectacle is of a beauty that gives us serenity. The fish look for food among the boulders at the bottom, the sand is concatenated with the rocks and the depth is vast enough to make us feel like we are floating in outer space. It was a real pleasure that Tuent Adventure let us go on our own. When we return, we would love to adventure into taking a diving course, stay at their facilities or be taken by boat to Sa Calobra to dive in its waters. The activities offered on their website are all too tempting in the summer season.
